Community Festivals

The Chamber strives to increase job opportunities and increase the commerce of local businesses by working on a variety of projects and festivals, including Winterfest and Fishtival, held seasonally in the Bristol Bay Borough. Activities are spread among King Salmon, Naknek, and South Naknek. The annual festivals give local residents a sense of community pride and businesses additional sales opportunities. The festivals can draw in visitors from outside our communities and encourage our current visitors and residents to explore and learn more about our communities. When our membership is thriving and our festivals are profitable, we are able to give back to our community in even more ways. The Chamber donates portions of all proceeds to worthwhile community endeavors. We may donate to businesses in need of assistance with special interest projects destined to improve our community and award two graduating seniors of Bristol Bay School District a $1000 Steve Jones Memorial Scholarship.

Winterfest is held the second weekend in February each year. Activities usually include a Penguin Dip in icy Bristol Bay, Arts & Crafts Fair and more!

Fishtival is held the third weekend in July each year. Activities usually include a Fish Fillet Contest, Fish Toss, Arts & Crafts Fair and more!Fishtival Logo
